Armando Gonzalez, Utility Service Worker II, has been named MVWD's 2021 Employee of the Year!
Armando, who was hired in 2018, ensures MVWD's water distribution infrastructure, systems, and facilities are maintained safely and effectively for round-the-clock operation. Some of responsibilities include maintaining and repairing water distribution pipelines, valves, meters, mains, fire hydrants, main lines and service lines. You might also see him out in our service area welding and torching or operating dump trucks and backhoes.
Colleagues describe Armando as a quick learner, professional and courteous with our customers. He continues taking on responsibilities that come his way with a great attitude and we are thankful to have him on our team.
Armando loves family time. When he’s not attending his daughter’s dance recitals, you can be sure to find him doing outdoor activities with his loved ones.
