2019-2020 Contest Update
Due to COVID-19, the deadline for the 2020 "Water is Life" Art Poster Contest has been extended to May 28,2020. See updated 2020 contest flyer for more details and revised contest guidelines.

Using the theme "Water is Life," students in Grades Kindergarten through 12th grade in schools within the service area of the Monte Vista Water District are invited to create an art poster depicting various water uses, ways to use water more efficiently, or water conservation topics.
The winners of the 2020 "Water is Life" Contest artwork will be entered into a regional art contest hosted by Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWD). MWD will choose 36 poster designs from hundreds of entries submitted by water agencies throughout Southern California. The winners, who will be featured in MWD’s Student Art Calendar 2021, will be announced in winter and recognized at a special event in early December.
Congratulations to our winners of the 2019-20 "Water is Life Poster Contest! The District sent the eight winning posters from its contest to Metropolitan Water District (MWD) for judging in the regional contest. The 36 award-winning posters will be featured in a 2021 calendar that will be published by MWD in the original contest . Congratulations again to our winners and we look forward to next year's contest and the wonderful art students of our service area will create.
