Alliance for Water Efficiency (AWE)
A stakeholder-based non-profit organization dedicated to the efficient and sustainable use of water. Serves as a North American advocate for water efficient products and programs, and provides information and assistance on water conservation efforts. Monte Vista Water District is a member.

American Water Works Association (AWWA)
An international nonprofit and educational society, the largest and oldest organization of water professionals in the world. Membership includes more than 4,600 utilities that supply water to roughly 180 million people in North America. Monte Vista Water District is a member of the California-Nevada Section.

Association of California Water Agencies (ACWA)
The largest coalition of public water agencies in the country, its nearly 450 members are responsible for 90% of California water deliveries. Monte Vista Water District is a member.

Association of Ground Water Agencies (AGWA)
AGWA's mission is to to provide a unified voice for groundwater management agencies, to coordinate efforts and exchange information to enhance the effective management of groundwater resources in California.

California Special Districts Association (CSDA)
A not-for-profit association of over 1,000 California independent special districts. Offers its members educational programs and representation in the State Capitol. Monte Vista Water District is a member.

California Urban Water Conservation Council (CUWCC)
Created to oversee implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding Regarding Urban Water Conservation in California, signed in 1991 by nearly 100 urban water agencies and environmental groups. (Since then the Council has grown to 389 members.) Signatories pledge to develop and implement comprehensive conservation Best Management Practices. Monte Vista Water District is a charter member of CUWCC.

Green Valley Initiative
An effort to bring green technologies and sustainable practices to the Inland Empire. Seeks to integrate social, economic and environmental forces to bring new jobs, greater opportunities and a higher quality of life to the region. Monte Vista Water District is a "Green Valley Jurisdiction."

Groundwater Foundation
A nonprofit organization dedicated to informing the public about one of our greatest hidden resources, groundwater. Its programs and publications present the benefits everyone receives from groundwater and the risks that threaten groundwater quality. Its goal it to make learning about groundwater fun and understandable for kids and adults alike.
