WaterSense
WaterSense is a national program, administered by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), that offers people a simple way to make product choices that use less water--and perform as well or better than your existing products. Look for WaterSense labeled products at a store near you! EPA maintains an online directory of labeled products, some of which qualify for rebates from Monte Vista Water District. Monte Vista Water District is a WaterSense Partner.

Alliance for Water Efficiency
The Alliance for Water Efficiency (AWE) is a stakeholder-based non-profit organization dedicated to the efficient and sustainable use of water. AWE serves as a North American advocate for water efficient products and programs, and provides information and assistance on water conservation efforts. Monte Vista Water District is an AWE member.
California Urban Water Conservation Council
The California Urban Water Conservation Council (CUWCC) was created to oversee implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding Regarding Urban Water Conservation in California (MOU), signed in 1991 by nearly 100 urban water agencies and environmental groups. (Since then the Council has grown to 389 members.) Those signing the MOU pledge to develop and implement comprehensive conservation Best Management Practices (BMPs). Monte Vista Water District is a charter signatory of the MOU and member of CUWCC.
Chino Basin Water Conservation District
The Chino Basin Water Conservation District (CBWCD) is a public agency, based in Montclair, whose goal is the protection of the Chino Groundwater Basin in order to guarantee that current and future water needs will be met. CBWCD maintains a beautiful drought-tolerant demonstration garden located in the District's service area, provides free landscape irrigation evaluations, and hosts water wise gardening classes (check the Calendar for upcoming classes) for District customers.
Inland Empire Utilities Agency
The Inland Empire Utilities Agency (IEUA) is a regional agency that supplies imported and recycled water; collects, treats, and disposes of wastewater;and provides other utility-related (renewable electrical energy, compost) services to the communities it serves. IEUA, a member agency of Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, manages a regional conservation program which provides residential and commercial rebates, targeted incentives, and education programs (National Theater for Children, Garden In Every School) for Monte Vista Water District customers.
Water Education Water Awareness Committee
The Water Education Water Awareness Committee (WEWAC) is a consortium of 13 water agencies in west San Bernardino County and east Los Angeles County whose mission is to promote the efficient use of water and to increase public awareness of the importance of water in Southern California. WEWAC programs include EduGrants, Project WET ("Water Education for Teachers") Workshops, a Public Service Announcement Video Contest, a drought-tolerant demonstration garden at the Los Angeles County Fair, message board announcements at Rancho Cucamonga Quakes games, and an interactive website promoting wise water use. Monte Vista Water District is a charter member of WEWAC.
