Health Benefits

Monte Vista Water District employees are provided a cafeteria-style benefit plan. This allows employees to select a benefit package that fits their individual needs.

Medical

The District offers medical benefits through the California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) with choices from Kaiser Health Management Organization (HMO), Blue Shield HMO, Health Net HMO, United Healthcare HMO and Anthem Blue Cross HMO and Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plans. Enrollment in the District's medical plans is optional; however, the District requires evidence of coverage from another plan. Eligible employees that waive the District's medical plan can receive their cafeteria allotment as a direct payment.
