Board Adopts Resolution in Support of Water Bond (Sep 17, 2014)

On September 10, the Board of Directors adopted Resolution 682-15 in support of the $7.545 billion water bond that will appear on the November ballot.


District Responds to Statewide Drought (Jan 20, 2014)

In response to Governor Brown's declaration of a statewide drought, the Monte Vista Water District Board of Directors passed Resolution 676-14 recognizing the drought and asking customers to continue their successful conservation efforts by implementing water use efficiency "best practices" and increased participation in rebate and incentive programs. Bay Delta Conservation Plan (Oct 23, 2013)

The Bay Delta Conservation Plan is being crafted to protect imported water supplies from the impacts of a major earthquake, while simultaneously restoring the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta's struggling ecosystem. Sven Hermelin, In Memoriam (Jun 11, 2013)

On June 3, 2013, Sven Hermelin tragically passed away at the young age of 47. Sven was a vital member of the Monte Vista Water District family for the past 4-1/2 years. Originally hired as a utility service worker in 2008, Sven was quickly promoted to utility crew leader in 2009.
